Byrnes’ Bigsound Insight

Mannequin Republic’s managing director Tom Byrnes has been a busy man over the last few months, with several notable events on his schedule, one of the chief being this year’s Bigsound festival in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

After the event, which featured Mannequin Republic’s own A Breach Of Silence performing on opening night, Tom was asked to bottle his thoughts for an article to post on controversial heavy music website I Probably Hate Your Band.

The article captures some excellent insight into why Bigsound is important, how to survive it and how to thrive in it, alongside a healthy list of dos and don’ts for new comers and old hats alike.

You can read all about Tom’s thoughts by going to  Give it a read, pick up some tips, make sure you share it around.

Thanks to I Probably Hate Your Band for publishing the piece and keeping the alternative music scene on the straight and narrow with their hard hitting reviews and analysis.
