Caught Dead

Fanatics in Brisbane were treated to an unbelievable showcase at this year’s Dead Of Winter festival in Fortitude Valley, featuring over 50 awesome bands pumping out great tunes in a wide variety of genres.  Mannequin Republic was pleased to have not just one, but two bands on this year’s festival.

One of the featured acts on this year’s show was As Paradise Falls, who packed out the upstairs room during their set.  If you were one of the unlucky ones at Dead Of Winter who couldn’t get through the door to see As Paradise Falls, one awesome fan has released a sneaky video of the boys doing their thing live on stage.

Breach Get Cereal

Thanks and shout out to the fine folks over at SYN Radio in Melbourne for having A Breach Of Silence involved with their morning programme on the August 17 edition of their morning show Get Cereal.

On the broadcast, A Breach Of Silence bass player, vocalist and all round sexy beast, Blair Layt, appeared live on air to talk about the latest happenings with the band and go over some of the history and highlights of their career.

The show also broadcast the latest single of off The Darkest Road album, “Vultures” towards the end of the broadcast.

A Shift In The Harbour

Bayharbour have announced some minor line up changes after their recovery period from the long string of international support slots they played throughout the winter of 2015.

The band is pleased to announce guitarist and previous back up vocalist Jay Sibthorpe will be taking over as lead singer for the group.

Bass player Marcus Parente has stepped up to fill the void left on the guitar, after years of keeping the low end of the band functioning.

The bass spot has also been replaced by new addition to Bayharbour, Ryan Oxford, who many fans may remember from his time with Brisbane band Skies Collide.

Nat Patterson and Thomas Byden will continue their roles as drummer and guitarist, respectively, and all members are looking forward to these tweak in their line up to bringing a new and interesting dynamic to the band.

Paradise Prepare To Record

One of Brisbane’s most buzz-worthy bands over the winter have been As Paradise Falls, who have turned heads with their recent tours of Australia and New Zealand, signing with two major touring companies and packing the house for this year’s Dead Of Winter festival in Brisbane.

The boys in As Paradise Falls are determined to keep the momentum going by dropping a major announcement that plans are currently being finalised for the recording and release of a brand new project in the coming months.

It has been confirmed that a studio has been contracted with a sound engineer who is well known to the band and the project is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.  As Paradise Falls currently have one last show coming up in Brisbane before taking a short hiatus to go into the studio.

Silent Periscope

Massive thanks to everyone who tuned in and had a peak at A Breach Of Silence’s live practice session which they streamed around the world on July 13.  It was a great experience and an interesting experiment into a new medium that could soon be taking over the live music scene.

The band had a blast on the stream and performed a handful of songs from their recent album The Darkest Road.
