Bayharbour On Stage With Silverstein

One of the greatest Canadian exports to hardcore and alternative music, Silverstein are making their way back to Australia for another epic tour to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their breakthrough album Discovering The Waterfront.

The tour will kick off in Brisbane on Sunday May 3 at the Hi-Fi (125 Boundary Street) in West End.  The show will feature Silverstein headlining along with Mannequin Republic’s own Bayharbour, Dream On Dreamer and Young Lions.  An incredible line up for any fan of underground hardcore and heavy music.

This event is 18+ only and tickets are available right now through OzTix for $39.50.  It’s going to be a great night of heavy music for all fans in Brisbane and another milestone for Bayharbour, who are still glowing after the success of their most recent single, “Transition” which can be seen on YouTube at

Plastic Wrap

On behalf of This Fiasco, Mannequin Republic would like to thank all the awesome fans who turned out to see the band at the special Labour Day show in Melbourne on March 8.  It was an awesome event with heaps of good vibes.

The line up also included D At Sea, Daybreak and Inventions, who played their hearts out as usual.  Kudos to Destroy All Lines for getting the roster sorted and the fine folks at the Colonial Hotel in Melbourne for providing a place to hear live alternative music.

There are heaps more live events coming up for This Fiasco in the Melbourne area.  We encourage all of you to check them out live in the near future.

QMusic Event With Tom Byrnes

QMusic and JMC Academy have joined forces to put on another great informational seminar on making your way in the music industry, this time featuring Mannequin Republic’s managing director Tom Byrnes.

The event will focus on artist management and promotion to help you manage your own band and get an idea on when it’s time to bring in a professional manager.  If you’re part of a band or looking to get into band management, this workshop is for you!

This event is absolutely free!  All you need to do is sign up and get your spot through the QMusic website.

The event will be hosted by Chris O’Neil, the APRA AMCOS national team leader and feature guest speakers Julia Bridger of Sofar Sound and QPAC, Branko Cosic, independent manager and producer as well as Tom Byrnes, managing director and promoter.

There Will Be Live Clips

A Breach Of Silence have been winning over a whole new set of fans since their tour of the USA with heavy music superstars Drowning Pool and their subsequent return to Australia for a continuation tour for their latest album, The Darkest Road.

If you have not made the effort to see A Breach Of Silence live, you are missing out on the rise of Australia’s next big thing and the mad party which they bring to the table every night they play.

Several of A Breach Of Silence’s followers have recorded some sweet live clips of the band performing and two recently captured the same track, “There Will Be Blood” at two separate events.

Ransome In German

Mannequin Republic bands continue to reach wider and wider audiences, with tours in Indonesia and the USA, press reviews from Belgium and now our very own Road To Ransome have been given a YouTube review video in German.

Massive thanks to German video blogger Daniel on The Crazy Game Control YouTube channel for making a sick little 5 minute clip featuring highlights from the band’s video “Nightmare”, the recording of the Animus album, their performance at Warped and prank videos by drummer Nathan Hibbot of That’s So Nathan fame.
