Artwork For The Darkest Road

With all the hype surrounding the latest project by A Breach Of Silence, we here at Mannequin Republic would like to point out a very important and often overlooked feature of any new album: the artwork.

The album cover for The Darkest Road was created by special request by Romanian artist Gabriel Serbanescu, who also created several concept pieces, including the final album cover for the band’s first album, Dead Or Alive.

A Breach Of Silence wanted to go with the vulture theme as it encapsulated the overall concept of the album, using the scavenger bird as a metaphor for life.  “The album represents dark parts of our lives and also fun parts” the band explains.  “To us, it gives us incentive for the vulture never to get hold of what we hold dearly and that is our dreams of being musicians.”

Equilibrium Clip On Fire

On behalf of As Paradise Falls, Mannequin Republic would like to thank all you heavy music fanatics who viewed, shared and rated the brand new music video for “Equilibrium.”

Since dropping on August 14 on an eagerly expecting public, the video has steadily drawn in more and more viewers with outstanding positive feedback from fans and critics alike.  The video is currently well passed 25,000 views and counting.

The video has been shared across the internet by major media sources such as Sludge Factory and Kill Your Stereo as well as cable TV music network Channel V.

Stix Steps Down

Long time A Breach Of Silence drummer Andrew “Stix” Cotterell has announced that he will be stepping away from the live music scene and his role in the band.

“Stix” has been drumming for A Breach Of Silence for 6 years, recorded and released 2 full albums, toured across Australia and New Zealand and established himself as an important part of the A Breach Of Silence sound.

At Mannequin Republic we would like to say thank you to “Stix” for all his hard work and wish him the best of luck with his new life and other opportunities.

Fans of A Breach Of Silence need not fear as a new drummer will soon step in to the role left by “Stix” and some pretty exciting performances are coming up soon for the kings of powercore.  Don’t forget to grab their brand new album, The Darkest Road available now.… more...

As Paradise Falls in New Zealand

Brisbane’s deathcore bad boys, As Paradise Falls, were allowed to leave the country for back to back shows in New Zealand during June of this year.  With one brutal show in Wellington and another epic night with A Breach Of Silence in Auckland, As Paradise Falls made their mark known in New Zealand.

Tonight Alive Shout Out

Massive thanks to our good mates at Tonight Alive for giving Melbourne’s This Fiasco a name drop in their live interview during the 2014 Reading Festival.

The interview conducted by Punktastic in September asked a series of questions to Tonight Alive, including which Aussie bands they wanted to make an honorable mention of, and naturally This Fiasco was at the top of the list.
