This Fiasco On Kill Your Stereo

One of the more respected Australia based blog sites, has put out another great interview, this time with Melbourne based Mannequin Republic band, This Fiasco.

The interview was conducted with clean vocalist and guitarist Nicole Keighery and drummer Jordan Higgins, who answered some excellent questions regarding the local hardcore and underground heavy music scene in Melbourne.

Night Rider Divides Media

Ever since the premier of the brand new video clip for “Night Rider” by A Breach Of Silence, fans and critics have been voicing their opinion across the internet.  Controversy continues to mount as both sides speak their minds, but this is a video that everyone seems to have an opinion about.

Welcome Back Paradise

Special thanks to everyone who came out to see As Paradise Falls on their special return shows in February and March in Brisbane.  There may not have been a lot of build up leading to their return, but fans of the band clearly did not forget that As Paradise Falls in one of the most entertaining acts in the local music scene.

The band had been busy behind the scenes working with a new line up and new material, which fans who came to their most recent shows were able to hear first hand.  Now with the changes in place As Paradise Falls is methodically making its way back to the live stage.

Of course none of it would be possible without the excellent event organisers and venues in Brisbane.  Much thanks to The Lab (5 Hubert Street, Woolloongabba) for initiating the return of As Paradise Falls at their brand … more...

Acacia Strain Got Heavier

Mannequin Republic is pleased to announce that A Night In Texas will be supporting The Acacia Strain as they make their way to Brisbane on May 3.

Along with our special gusts from the USA, Aversions Crown, Graves and I Shall Devour will also be on the line up with A Night In Texas, setting this up to be one of the heaviest hardcore, metalcore gigs of the Autumn season.

Mannequin Republic has already had a hand in organising this event on The Acacia Strain Australiavania tour and we are stoked to have one of our affiliate bands on the line up as well.

This event is all ages and starts early at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 3 only at The Lab (5 Hubert Street) in Woolloongabba.  Grab your mates and chuck a massive mosh with us!

Great Night For Great Shave

Mannequin Republic would like to thank everyone who came out to see Trinatyde as they took part in the line up for the March 13 Snitch event at Electric Playground in The Valley.  It was an awesome night of heavy music all for a great cause supporting the Australian Leukemia Foundation.

Not only was Mannequin Republic represented on the night by Trinatyde who opened the event, but our very own Jake Solway of Road To Ransome was one of the many who shaved their head in support of this great cause.

Special thanks for the folks at Electric Playground for supplying the venue and Snitch for doing the behind the scenes work.  Also massive thanks to headliner The Strategem, Headwound The Pony and Nightmares for sharing the stage and rocking out with us.
