Save Your Breath

Mannequin Republic is pleased to announce that Save The Clocktower will be making their return to the Breath Of Life Festival in Tasmania for 2013.

The Breath Of Life Festival is one of Tasmania’s biggest alternative music events with a mix of genres ranging from metal and hardcore to hip-hop and dubstep, all for a great cause.  Portions from all ticket sales go to benefit the Australian Lung Foundation and aid their research.

Along with Launceston’s own favourite post-hardcore band are a heap of awesome local and international acts, including Dizzee Rascal, Bliss N Eso, 360, Birds Of Tokyo, Rudimental, The Amity Affliction, Dead Letter Circus, Illy, Seth Sentry, Flume, Owl Eyes, Dream On Dreamers, House Vs. Hurricane, Closure In Moscow, In Hearts Wake, Northlane, Twelve Foot Ninja and DJ acts like Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Madeon, Bombs Away and much more!

Summer Breaks Out In Newcastle

Mannequin Republic’s own hardcore shooting stars, Road To Ransome, are on the road again to Newcastle to complete another leg of their Summer Break Out Tour.

Also scheduled for the show are local hardcore metal monster act When Giants Sleep with Paradise Found and Undergreyskies.

Emerging event organiser Heart Agency is preparing for an awesome night of live alternative rock music.  Make sure you come out and see what they have to offer the New South Whales hardcore scene.

Mosh In The New Year

Australia is famous for its New Year celebrations with fireworks over the Harbour Bridge in Sydney.  But, if you’re lucky enough to be in Sydney on December 31, the real party is happening at Hot Damn! with some of Australia’s best hardcore, metal and alternative bands.

Mosh in 2013 with your favourite acts, including Buried In Verona, Sienna Skies, The Bride, Lakeside and Mannequin Republic’s recently signed Ghosts On Broadway as they close out 2012 in style.

Make sure you get down to the Exchange Hotel (34-44 Oxford Street, Sydney) at 9:00 pm to catch all the fun and action of Hot Damn!  This event is 18+ only and tickets range from $15-30.  Don’t miss it!

Tyde Leaked

Mannequin Republic’s local metal lifers, Trinatyde, have been caught in the act.  A recent phone video surfaced on the band’s YouTube page featuring guitarist Josh Ingram in the JMC Academy recording studio laying down some hot licks for their upcoming project.

Details of Trinatyde’s latest work has been kept hidden from the public for for several months as rumours of the band’s new direction begin to surface.  Some subtle hints have been dropped on the band’s Facebook and social media pages.

Happy Christmas

It’s Christmas Eve and Mannequin Republic would like to wish all you fanatics, young and old alike a very merry Christmas.

On behalf of owner/manager Tom Byrnes, co-owner Ian Gnatz and our amazing bands; Save The Clocktower, Road To Ransome, The Endless Pandemic, As Paradise Falls, Trinatyde and Ghosts On Broadway, we hope you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday.

There’s been heaps of great shows this year and several awesome ones in the last few days with plenty more to come leading up to the new year and into 2013.  Rest up while you can, the future of local hardcore and metal in Australia is going to be mental.
