Hack Back To Ipswich

Mannequin Republic’s resident alt-rockers, Hack, are playing Friday September 30th at the Coronation Hotel (254 Brisbane Street, Ipswich) along with an awesome line up of bands from 7:00 pm.

Hack are keen to get back to their old stomping grounds and rock out until the sun comes up.  They will be joined by Greenthief, Dirty Bird and Whiskey & Speed (now featuring two members of The Jon Experiment, Loki Discordia and Klint Mahoney).

Month End Madness for Road To Ransome

It’s the end of the month, it’s pay day and it’s the weekend.  Nothing to do?  Then get out and be part of the insanity that is the local music scene here in Brisbane!

Our own hardcore mosh machine, Road To Ransome, are going to light it up at the end of the month with two incredible live shows.

On Friday September 29th at the X&Y Bar (648 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley) catch Road To Ransome with Armada In The Dusk, The Construct and Little Chris as part of Snitch.  Entry is $12 (or $10 if you tell them you came to hear Road To Ransome) and it starts at 9:00 pm.  There’s also karaoke and students get two for the price of one!  See more here.

Southern Discomfort Wrap Up

Mannequin Republic would like to thank all the awesome bands and fanatics that turned out for our Southern Discomfort showcase.  Apart from our own Road To Ransome and Gathered Below, we were also proud to have Tinatyde, Elixian, Lead The Assault, Wold Creek, Asleep In The Light and The OK Cowboys play some awesome sets.  It is great having them as part of our local music scene.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Sun Distortion Studios and The Beetle Bar for hosting the events.  As always, they do a great job.

Of course, you Mannequin Republic fanatics that turned up and rocked out, know we appreciate each and every one of you.  There are some awesome moshers and thrashers out there who came out to throw down.

The Cavalcade Tour Queensland With Miles and Miles

Newcastle indie alternative rock band The Cavalcade are coming through Queensland to promote their new E.P. The Feeling Of Thought and hope to win over the hearts and minds of you Mannequin Republic fanatics.

Two of their Queensland shows include newly signed act Miles and Miles, which if you haven’t seen yet, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Friday September 23rd from 7:00 pm, you can see both bands at Shed 5 (7 Wrights Place, Arundal) on the Gold Coast.  This show is all ages, so there’s no excuse to miss it.  Bring your mates and broaden your musical tastes with some of the most interesting indie, alternative, punk and pop sounds in the country.  For more info click here.
